Getting started

What Ultra Stream+ is, and what you need to use it.

What is Ultra Stream+?

Ultra Stream+ turns Apple Vision Pro into a private cinema. You watch the streaming services you already subscribe to — Netflix, Prime Video, and DIRECTV — on a giant cinema screen inside immersive environments, with native Vision Pro playback controls.

Ultra Stream+ does not provide, host, or sell any video content. Everything you watch comes from your own subscriptions to those services.

Do I need my own Netflix, Prime Video, or DIRECTV subscription?

Yes. Ultra Stream+ is a way to watch services you already pay for; it does not include any of them. You sign in to each service with your own account, directly inside the app, exactly as you would on the web. Your password goes straight to that service and is never sent to us — see our Privacy Policy.

Which streaming services are supported?
  • Netflix — up to 4K with Dolby Atmos, on a Netflix plan that includes Ultra HD.
  • Prime Video — Full HD 1080p.
  • DIRECTV — live TV and on demand. Requires a subscription to the U.S. DIRECTV service (directv.com); DIRECTV-branded services in other countries, such as DIRECTV Latin America, are separate providers and are not supported.

More services are on the way.

Which immersive environments are included?

Theater, Studio, Escape Room, and Savanna Africa (at sunset or at night), each built around a giant cinema screen. Turn the Digital Crown to dial in how much of the world disappears. If you’d rather stay present, Ultra Stream+ also plays as a floating window right in your room, in passthrough — or inside Apple’s own visionOS environments.

Subscription & billing

Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store, so most billing tasks happen in your Apple Account.

How does the free preview work?

Every new user gets a short free preview of the full experience — a couple of minutes of actual playback, so you can feel the immersive theater before deciding. Only time spent actually watching counts; browsing, pausing, and ad breaks don’t use it up. When the preview ends, playback stops and you can subscribe or buy a lifetime unlock to keep going.

The preview is one-time per device and doesn’t reset if you reinstall the app.

What plans are available, and is there a free trial?

Ultra Stream+ offers a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, and a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency. New subscribers get a 3-day free trial on the monthly or yearly plan (one trial per Apple Account); after the trial, the subscription renews at the plan price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The lifetime purchase is a single payment with no renewal.

Your purchase unlocks the Ultra Stream+ experience — the immersive environments and native playback features. It never includes access to any streaming service’s content; that always comes from your own subscriptions.

What exactly does the Lifetime purchase include?

Lifetime is a one-time payment that permanently unlocks everything available in Ultra Stream+ today — every current immersive environment and every native playback feature — with no subscription and no renewal, for as long as the app is offered.

We plan to keep adding to Ultra Stream+. Ongoing improvements to existing features are included. However, new premium experiences we introduce in the future may be offered as separate purchases and are not automatically included in Lifetime (or in a subscription). We’ll always make it clear in the app what a purchase includes before you buy.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Either:

  • In Ultra Stream+, open SettingsSubscriptionManage Subscription, or
  • On any Apple device, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or go to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. To avoid being charged after a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

I bought Lifetime — how do I stop my old subscription from renewing?

Buying the lifetime unlock does not automatically cancel a subscription that’s already running — the App Store treats them as separate purchases. After buying Lifetime, cancel the subscription in Manage Subscription (see above) so it stops renewing. You’ll keep full access through Lifetime.

I got a new Vision Pro, or reinstalled the app. How do I get my purchase back?

Purchases belong to your Apple Account, so they follow you. Sign in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you bought with, then in Ultra Stream+ open SettingsSubscription and tap Restore Purchases. Restore is also available on the plans screen.

How do I request a refund?

Because Apple processes all payments, refunds are handled by Apple rather than by us — we can’t issue them ourselves. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase, and choose the Ultra Stream+ purchase. Apple reviews each request under its own policy.

The plans won’t load / it says “Can’t Load Plans”.

The app fetches plans from the App Store, so this almost always means the App Store couldn’t be reached. Check that Vision Pro is online, then tap Try Again. If you’re on a network with restrictions (some workplaces, hotels, or VPNs), the App Store may be blocked; try another network.

Watching & troubleshooting

Quick fixes for the things people ask about most.

DIRECTV won’t sign in or doesn’t work in my country.

Ultra Stream+ supports the U.S. DIRECTV service (directv.com) and requires a U.S. DIRECTV subscription. DIRECTV-branded services in other countries — for example DIRECTV Latin America / DGO — are run by different companies with their own apps and sign-in systems, and they are not supported. If you subscribe to one of those, DIRECTV in Ultra Stream+ won’t work with your account. Netflix and Prime Video work wherever those services are available.

Netflix isn’t playing in 4K.

4K on Netflix requires a Netflix plan that includes Ultra HD (Netflix’s Premium tier) — this is set on your Netflix account, not in Ultra Stream+. Check your plan at netflix.com under Account. Netflix also picks the resolution based on your connection speed, so a slower or busy network can hold a title at 1080p, and it may take a little while after playback starts to reach full quality. Not every title is available in 4K.

Prime Video maxes out at 1080p.

That’s expected. Prime Video delivers Full HD 1080p in Ultra Stream+ — this is a limit set by Prime Video for this kind of playback, not something Ultra Stream+ can change.

Netflix says “Something went wrong” when I sign in.

This is usually a stale sign-in session. In Ultra Stream+, open Settings and Sign Out of Netflix, then sign back in. If it persists, confirm your account works at netflix.com in a browser (Netflix may be asking you to verify or update something on the account itself).

The video froze, or the screen went blank.
  1. Tap the screen to bring up the controls and press play, or exit the title with the back button and start it again.
  2. If you’re in an immersive environment, exit it and return.
  3. If it still misbehaves, quit Ultra Stream+ fully (hold the Digital Crown, then swipe the app up) and relaunch.

If a specific title or service does this repeatedly, please email us with the service, the title, and roughly what you did — that detail helps us fix it quickly.

How do I change the audio language or subtitles?

Tap the screen during playback to show the controls, then use the audio and subtitle buttons in the bar to pick a language or turn subtitles off. The choices offered are the ones the streaming service provides for that title.

How do I switch between Netflix, Prime Video, and DIRECTV?

Open Settings and choose Switch service to return to the service chooser. Each service keeps its own sign-in, so you can move between them without signing in again.

How do I sign out, or remove my data?

Open Settings and tap Sign Out for the current service; that removes its sign-in session from your device. Deleting the app removes your preferences and sessions too. Ultra Stream+ keeps no personal information on any server, so there is nothing to delete on our side — details in the Privacy Policy.

Still stuck?

Email info@spatial-casting.com and tell us which service you were using, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If it’s a playback problem, the title name and your visionOS version help a lot.
